Entrepreneurship & Business Management
About This Course
Entrepreneurship is the process of using creative or innovative ways to create a new business or expanding an existing business in new ways that better serve the needs of customers.
Entrepreneurship is often a difficult undertaking, as a vast majority of new businesses fail within the first year of operation. Entrepreneurial activities are substantially different depending on the type of enterprise that is being started. Entrepreneurship ranges in scale from sole proprietorship to major undertakings creating many job opportunities.
Entrepreneurship is about taking risk. The behavior of the entrepreneur reflects a kind of person willing to put his or her career and financial security on the line and take calculated risks in the name of an idea. An entrepreneur sees an opportunity, figures out way to acquire the needed resources, and acts to turn the opportunity into a business venture.
